Abstract:
Circulating auto-antibodies and high serum globulin levels are hallmarks of Autoimmune Hepatitis (AIH), a chronic liver disease that does not resolve. Chronic liver disease and cirrhosis are possible outcomes of what begins as acute hepatitis.Roughly 80% of all instances of AIH are caused by AIH-1. Almost often, in order to diagnose AIH-1, ANA and/or SMA must be detected. The subtype AIH-2 accounts for less than 10%-15% of all instances of AIH in North America and Europe. The hepatic lobules and specifically the P3 section of the proximal renal tubules are stained diffusely with cytoplasmic antibodies that target LKM1. The female gender is disproportionately impacted by AIH, while the illness affects people of various ages, races, and geographic locations. No one knows what causes
