Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to determine whether or whether an ethanolic extract of Terminalia catappa leaves can protect albino rats' hearts against isoproterenol-induced myocardial infarction.Six rats each from each of five groups made up the Wister albino rats. As a control, rats in Group I were given isoproterenol. Rats in Groups II, III, IV, and V were given isoproterenol at doses of 500, 500, and 1000 mg/kg, respectively. Prior to induction with isoproterenol, rats in Groups I, II, IV, and V were pretreated orally for 21 days with an ethanolic extract of Terminalia catappa dissolved in water.The patient was anaesthetized before a cervical decapitation was performed to collect blood.For histological
