Abstract:

This research looks at the impact that material interaction plays in a shampoo system and how it affects the final performance that the product is meant to achieve. The shampoo's flow quality and functional metrics including foam height and retention have remained unchanged after adding the viscosity booster. If the SLES and viscosity booster are the foundation of the formulation, then the active molecules and their functions may be delivered more effectively with less material contact between them.
