Abstract:
Interviews and talks with elders of the local tribes and villages provided the necessary information. Names of plants, local names, and methods of administration were among the data points gathered. Shelved and placed in the Botany Department's herbarium. The medical applications and identification of over forty plants were documented. To identify potential secondary metabolites, phytochemists screened a subset of the therapeutic plants under consideration. Results were documented after ethylalcohol, ether, and water were subjected to Soxhlet extraction procedures. We found secondary metabolites such steroids, terpenoids, phenols, tannins, saponins, alkaloids, and flavonoids. According to the findings, phytochemicals have the ability to treat a wide range of diseases, act as antioxidants, and lead to the discovery of brand-new chemical compounds.
