Journal Selection Guidance

We help authors think through journal choice using criteria that actually predict a good outcome:

  • Scope match — does the journal's stated aims and scope genuinely fit your research, not just your broad field?
  • Indexing status — is the journal indexed where you need it to be (DOAJ, Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed, or field-specific databases), verified against the index's own current list rather than the journal's own claims?
  • Peer review rigor — does the journal have a genuine, transparent peer review process and a real, contactable editorial board?
  • Realistic acceptance likelihood — based on your manuscript's current strength, is this journal a reasonable target, a stretch, or a safe option?
  • Publication ethics standing — we check journals against known predatory-publishing indicators before recommending them, so you're not steered toward a journal that could undermine your work's credibility.
What we won't do: promise placement in a specific journal, claim special "collaboration" with journals that implies influence over their editorial decisions, or recommend a journal we haven't genuinely vetted for legitimacy.
